  1. Yikes! Hasn’t Ms. Dillard heard of revision? I can’t understand people who regularly throw out pages/chapters and start from scratch. Okay, I get it if there’s a big plot change — I’ve been there. But generally, you can revise anything into shape. Throw out the bathwater, but keep the baby!
