Happy New Year Hiatus

Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope you all had a fantastic holiday and Santa brought you that publishing deal you’d been asking for! Well even if he didn’t, that just means it’s time for some spiffy new years resolutions to dig in and write write write write write!

One of my exciting new adventures for 2011 is graduate school! I’ve been accepted to the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA program for writing for children and young adults! I fly off to the east coast tomorrow for my first ten-day residency. Woo hoo!

So the bad news is this blog will be MIA for the next two and a half weeks as I am overloaded with inspiration and education! But the good news is I’ll be sharing some highlights of what I learned with all of you. So stay tuned!

Happy writing and happy new year!

  1. How exciting! I’m so happy for you and hope you’ll enjoy your new adventures, seeking your MFA. I’ll miss your blog though… Best wishes for your bright future! I hope your hiatus isn’t too long. (I’m busy querying my MG ms!)

  2. You will love VCFA!! I graduated in 2009 and this program is a second home for me and you will learn tons! It will be great if you share your notes from the lectures you’ll have, but you may want to ask someone if it’s okay to do so. There are some rules about that.

  3. congratulations and GOOD FOR YOU!!! sop it up….and then spit it out! we’ll all look forward to hearing about your 2011 adventure. 🙂

  4. Hey, Ingrid, this is really exciting! I can’t wait to hear all about it. Hope you have a blast and learn lots, which I’m sure you will.
